The Landings Resort and Spa - All Suites
What convinced us is the marina, not just the beach: The Landings sits on Rodney...
La Brellotte Bay is a small cove north of Castries, and East Winds occupies twelve acres of it with only thirty cottages spread through tropical gardens rather than stacked into a tower over the sand. That ratio, twelve acres to thirty rooms, is the whole story: guests get space, birdlife and a beach that stays quiet even at full occupancy, and the resort gets to run at a pace larger all-inclusives on the island cannot match. A fringing reef sits close enough to the shore to snorkel without a boat trip.
We chose East Winds because it treats all-inclusive as a pricing model, not an excuse to standardise the experience. Cooking classes, rum tastings and yoga sit inside the rate alongside the usual pool and dinner service, and the team is built around personalised, community rooted hospitality rather than a script handed down from a head office overseas. Four distinct room types, from garden cottages to ocean front suites, mean the same twelve acres can suit a family on a budget cottage and a couple paying for a private patio over the water.
North of Castries and a short drive from Rodney Bay's restaurants and marina, La Brellotte Bay gives East Winds a beach genuinely quieter than the busier stretches nearer town, without cutting guests off from a night out if they want one. The reef just offshore extends the beach day into an afternoon of snorkelling that would otherwise need a boat excursion, and the twelve acres of garden buffer the cottages from any road noise.

Most all-inclusive resorts fold in the pool bar and a buffet and call it a day. East Winds adds cooking classes, rum tastings, yoga and pilates sessions and guided garden tours to the standard rate, alongside non-motorised water sports for the beach itself. Guests who want to go further can add spa treatments or a sunset cruise, but the base rate already covers more of a genuine island week than the category usually implies.
Superior Cottages carry the largest bedrooms on the property with a shaded patio built for an afternoon doing nothing, Deluxe Cottages sit deeper in the garden setting, and Ocean Front Rooms and Suites put the Caribbean Sea a few steps from the door, the Suites adding a private patio over the water. The spread lets a family book a garden cottage and a couple traveling separately book an ocean front suite without either group feeling like they settled.
East Winds accepts families, unlike several of the adults-only properties nearby, so guests wanting a strictly couples atmosphere should check occupancy dates before booking. The twelve-acre garden setting means some cottages sit a short walk from the beach rather than directly on it, worth confirming at booking for anyone who wants to step straight from the room onto the sand. Loyal guests tend to book the same cottage year after year, a habit the front desk actively tracks and accommodates where the calendar allows.
