Bel Jou Adults Only - All Inclusive
Our pick here comes down to a view most Saint Lucia hotels do not have:...
Rodney Bay's Reduit Beach is Saint Lucia's most convenient stretch of sand, and most of the hotels along it are large, established resorts built decades ago. SoCo House takes the opposite approach: a newer, smaller boutique property built in a European chic style, with four room categories, from a Deluxe king with a balcony to a Suite with its own private sun deck, none of them stacked into a tower over the beach. Ground floor rooms open directly onto the pool deck, keeping the property feeling closer to a private house than a hotel wing.
We chose SoCo House because it proves a boutique property can sit on Rodney Bay's busiest beach without losing the intimacy that usually means a quieter, less convenient address. The property does not accept children, which keeps the pool deck and the poolside afternoon tea service genuinely adult in atmosphere, and the on-site restaurant rotates its Caribbean-inspired menu with handpicked wines rather than settling into a fixed rotation. Reviews consistently name specific staff members, a detail that is hard to fabricate and rare at a property this new. It is a bet on personal service over sheer scale, and so far it seems to be paying off in exactly the reviews a boutique property needs.
Reduit Beach Avenue puts SoCo House directly on one of the calmest, most swimmable beaches on the island, within walking distance of Rodney Bay Village's restaurants, bars and the Friday night scene in nearby Gros Islet. It is a location built for guests who want beach convenience and a night out within reach, rather than the isolation of Soufriere's ridge-top hotels.
Price: Premium
Vibe: European chic, boutique, adults-focused
Rooms: 4 categories, Deluxe, Junior Suite, Courtyard and Suite, ground-floor rooms with direct pool access
Best For: Couples wanting boutique intimacy directly on Reduit Beach
Our Favorite Thing About the Hotel: Poolside afternoon tea service, an unusual touch for a beachfront all-inclusive-style property
Dining: On-site à la carte restaurant, Caribbean-inspired rotating menu, handpicked wines
Amenities: Oasis Wellness Spa, fitness centre, sauna, swimming pool
Attractions: Reduit Beach, Rodney Bay Village restaurants and bars, Gros Islet Friday street party
The Soco Deluxe keeps things simple with a king bed and a balcony, while the Junior Suite adds a lanai balcony and separate seating for guests who want a sitting area distinct from the bed. The Courtyard category trades the balcony for a patio, and the Suite tops the range with a private sun deck. None of the four categories reads as a stripped-down version of the others, more a set of genuinely different ways to spend a day on the same small property.
With children not accepted, the pool deck and its afternoon tea service keep a quieter register than the family resorts along the same beach, and the à la carte restaurant leans into that with a rotating menu rather than the fixed circuit of a standard all-inclusive. Oasis Wellness Spa and a fitness centre cover the rest of a day that does not require leaving the property at all.
As a newer property, SoCo House has a shorter review history than the long-established resorts nearby, worth weighing for guests who prioritise a long track record over a fresher, more design-forward take on the same beach. No children policy rules it out for family travel, and its Rodney Bay setting trades Soufriere's Piton views for direct beach access and nightlife within walking distance instead. Anyone choosing between the two should decide first whether beach access or Piton views matter more to the trip, since the two ends of the island answer different questions.
