Rabot Hotel From Hotel Chocolat
What we like about these lodges is that the cacao story is not a gift...
Green Fig climbs a hillside above Soufriere in a run of Bali-influenced timber and thatch structures that the resort itself calls treehouses, and the description holds up: rooms and walkways step up through tropical vegetation with native wildlife rather than sitting in a single flat block. Twenty five rooms range from Standard Bali rooms to a Romance Suite with an 880 square foot layout and its own sea view, and the elevation means even the pool competes with the balconies for the best angle on Gros and Petit Piton.
We chose Green Fig because it delivers the Piton view that made Soufriere famous at a noticeably gentler scale and price than the ridge-top villas nearby, without cutting the view itself down to size. The treehouse spa, running hot lava stone, deep tissue and four-hand massages in its own elevated structure, gives the wellness side of the property the same architectural commitment as the rooms. A five-minute walk to the beach means guests are not entirely landlocked despite the hillside setting.
The hillside position overlooks Soufriere town and Soufriere Bay directly, putting the Sulphur Springs, Diamond Falls and the boat traffic into and out of the bay within easy reach, while keeping the resort itself elevated above the traffic and noise of the town centre. It is a short drive from both Ladera and Tet Rouge for travellers comparing the ridge-top Piton hotels against each other. Reviewers most often single out the staff for remembering names and preferences by the second day, a small-hotel habit the larger resorts nearby rarely manage.

Our Favorite Thing About the Hotel: The treehouse spa, built into the hillside with the same architecture as the guest rooms

The spa's own treehouse structure sets it apart from a standard hotel treatment room: relaxation, deep tissue and hot lava stone massages run with custom-blended oils, and a four-hand treatment option covers guests wanting the full version. Positioned among the same trees and wildlife as the guest rooms, it extends the resort's core idea, that elevation and vegetation are amenities in themselves, into the wellness program rather than treating the spa as an afterthought.
Saltfish Restaurant serves Caribbean cuisine built around local ingredients, and continental breakfast comes included with every booking, with full-board packages available for guests who would rather not plan meals during a Soufriere stay. Given the drive into town, and the view from the restaurant terrace itself, most guests treat dinner on-site as the plan rather than the fallback.
The hillside setting means stairs and slopes between rooms, the pool and the restaurant, worth flagging for guests with mobility concerns, and the beach requires a five-minute walk downhill (and the return climb) rather than direct access. The resort accepts pets, unusual among the area's boutique properties, which is worth confirming ahead of arrival if travelling with or without one matters to the booking. A rental car or the resort's own transfer covers day trips to the coast easily enough, and most guests plan on driving rather than walking for anything beyond the on-site beach path.
